This course is designed for people who want to gain some key mediation skills, and is specifically geared towards those whose work involves people experiencing mental ill health.

Mediation Skills and Mental Wellbeing helps to build greater confidence when working with people in conflict who are also experiencing poor mental wellbeing. It teaches delegates how to have more positive conversations, how to encourage people into a resolution meeting, and how to work more effectively to bring about resolution using mediation skills.

The aim of this two-day course is to get you to the point of being able to facilitate resolution conversations between individuals who have mental wellbeing issues.

Who should attend this course?

This two-day course would be suitable for groups who may have to deal with conflict involving people with mental health issues. This can include workplace, neighbourhood, family, education, or medical settings.

No previous experience with conflict resolution is required in order to attend.

Will I be a mediator after doing this course?

No, we are careful to distinguish our shorter courses from our accredited mediator programmes.

What we say is that this course will you how to facilitate resolution meetings with people in dispute, but you won’t be a Mediator. To gain full accreditation, you would need our Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate course.
