Our Founder and CEO, Dr Mike Talbot, is an extremely capable public speaker with experience of delivering talks, presentations and workshops to a variety of audiences at a range of regional and national events.
He’s also happy to assist members of the media with interviews or thoughts on mediation, interpersonal conflict, and the psychology involved when relationships break down.
Mike’s doctorate and psychological background allow him to look at interpersonal conflict in a unique and thought-provoking way, but it’s not all jargon and psycho-babble! Mike’s skills lie in taking these abstract and scientific concepts and applying them to improving working relationships and resolving conflicts.
And, thanks to the wide range of environments Mike has worked in over the years, he’s able to tailor his talks to workplace mediation, neighbourhood disputes or family relationships – even down to specific sectors, such as healthcare, retail and academia.
Mike has spoken at many conferences and events over the past 23 years, including presentations and workshops for CIPD, UHR, the Chartered Institute of Housing, the Northern Ireland Civil Service, the Festival of Education, and Homeless Link.
Get in touchMike has featured on several podcasts, including the likes of Overthinking Conflict and That HR Podcast, to discuss the finer details of interpersonal conflict.
Get in touchMike regularly provides comment and expert insight to national news sites on topics relating to conflict, and has worked with the likes of the Daily Mail, The Guardian, People Management magazine, and HR Grapevine.
Get in touchMike has also appeared on Gibraltarian national TV to discuss the role of mediation within the Citizens Advice Bureau.
