Case Supervision

Develop your mediation skills, build your confidence, and sharpen your insight as a mediator.

Mediation work can be emotionally draining and some cases can test your understanding of the mediator role, identifying gaps in your skills and knowledge.

Case Supervision is a structured way of getting consultative support, allowing you to develop your skills beyond what you learned in your training, and helping to ensure that you are mediating effectively, professionally, and safely.

Course FAQs

We understand that you may have some queries about the course’s content, the resulting qualification, or about how the training is delivered.

We’ve gathered together some of the most Frequently Asked Questions and have answered them below.

Would this session be a good introduction to mediation?

Our Case Supervision sessions are designed for those who have trained in mediation and who are actively mediating within the organisation.

If you were looking to become a fully-qualified mediator, we would instead recommend our externally-accredited qualification, the Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner's Certificate.

Or, if you were just looking for some practical skills to take away and begin using, our range of short skills courses would be more appropriate.

Who should attend this course?

This Next Steps course would be suitable for any group that has previously trained in mediation, and that has an ongoing caseload.

We've delivered Supervision sessions to organisations from a wide range of sectors, including NHS Trusts, charities, local authorities, and housing associations.
