Getting started on a different approach to resolving disputes
This course is ideal for groups and organisations who want to discover more about mediation, or for those who may be considering training further in the subject. It is particularly suited to the needs of those with little or no experience of mediation, who may be considering bringing in external mediators, setting up an in-house service, building mediation into their practice, or training in mediation themselves.
Understanding Mediation is a great opportunity to gain a clear understanding of mediation: what it is, how it works, and whether you should use external mediators or train your own teams. We look forward to bringing this renowned programme to you.
On the course, your delegates will learn how to:
- Training on the uses and benefits of interpersonal mediation
- Some key mediation skills that your group can take away and use immediately
- How to decide which situations would be suitable (and unsuitable) for mediation
- Building mediation into your policies and procedures
This course is designed for groups of 4-12 delegates when delivered online, or for 6-16 delegates when delivered face-to-face. If you are an individual looking for similar training, we would recommend our open-access Interpersonal Mediation Essentials course.
