In today’s workplace, different people’s behaviours, different working styles, or differences in expectations can all give rise to protracted and difficult disagreements. Rumbling conflict, personality clashes and factionalism can quickly develop, leading to grievances and other complaints against the organisation.
The Manager as Mediator masterclass, run by one of our experienced mediators, draws on a collection of the skills used by mediators, coaches and counsellors: giving your managers a thorough insight into the psychology of conflict, and building confidence and competence in putting some mediation skills to practical use straight away.
On the course, your delegates will learn:
- What mediation is and isn’t, and how it gets used in the workplace
- A step-by-step process: how not to get lost in other people’s disputes
- Dealing with disruptive behaviour in resolution meetings
- Knowing when to quit: referring situations on for other types of intervention
This course is designed for groups of 6-12 delegates to be delivered in-house within an organisation.
