Back in 2018, the Homelessness Reduction Act came into force. Under this legislation, local authorities and other government bodies now have a legally-binding duty to provide a wider range of services and protocols, including information and advice, to people at risk of homelessness.
And, since then, UK Mediation has noticed a dramatic rise in the number of organisations wanting to implement mediation as a way to prevent homelessness.
Particularly when it comes to young people, mediation proves to be especially useful in resolving the kinds of family conflict that could lead to an individual running away from home, or from being kicked out by parents or guardians.
UK Mediation CEO, Dr Mike Talbot, presents this webinar on how mediation can be used in this life-changing way.
